You stepped forward and said "I support you, Brad." And something in me had to rise to meet that.

New fears. Technical hurdles. Expectations I put on myself that I had to pry loose, one at a time. Formats I had to try and abandon. I wouldn't have faced any of it without the weight of your support behind me… not as pressure, but as permission.

What I kept bumping into with “Patterns in Becoming” was befuddling… the research felt dead. I'd sit alone, finding patterns, making booklets, synthesizing… and my chest would go flat. I was performing work about becoming instead of actually becoming.
